The Fancy Butcher is the small press and online shop of Kevin Ward and Lord Hurk. We make hand-drawn art and stories. You can read about our projects in our blog posts or visit our shop at etsy.com.
Together, we produce a serialised comic-picture-story publication called the The Static Revolter. (That’s RevolTer with a T!) You can find issues at our etsy shop or one of these fine booksellers:
Gosh! (London)
Concrete Hermit (London)
Material @ Red Gallery (London)
Orbital (London)
Here Gallery (Bristol)
Good Grief (Manchester)
Lambiek (Amsterdam)
Hurk grew up under the pylons of NorthWest Kent and above the rat-tunnels of SouthEast london. He has made more than 20 mini-comics and picture-books of varying degrees of dopeness since the year 2000. A firm advocate for the preservation of comics on the printed page and other old-fashioned novelties of yesteryear, Hurk continues to draw with a pen on paper everyday.
